I noticed that enemies have a slightly longer range for hitting you, resulting in having to step closer towards them before you can actually deal damage, while they deal damage to you from a farther distance. Also I find, lining up the character with the enemy for attack's rather annoying, because it means while your lining up with one enemy, other enemies can freely attack you as well, resulting in a gang rape.
